Addison Mizner

Artist Julie Headland was commissioned by the Boca Raton Resort and Club to create a series of Narrative paintings honoring Boca Raton’s favorite son: Addison Mizner. The artist immerses herself in research on her subjects, in this case the fabulous Addison Mizner collaborating with designers and architects to create the delightful works ultimately leading to the success of the project.

Released

Released is the W15’ X H8’ acrylic on canvas painting commissioned for Arris, a residential building in the center of The Yards, just south of Capitol Hill in Washington DC. The Arris team, led by world-renowned Robert A.M. Stern Architects, worked with Cynthia Byrnes Contemporary Art to commission the work as the centerpiece in the now award winning lobby. The Narrative painting is the artist’s interpretation of a vintage photograph that captures the historic moment considered to be the birth of naval aviation.
